Classic Mojito

There's time when you need something light and refreshing but also something that satisfies the adult palate. A classic mojito fits the bill.

A mojito is made with fresh limes, rum, and mint. It's the mint and fresh lime that makes this drink perfect for summertime enjoyment. Muddling the limes and mint together releases the oils and intense flavors of both the mint and the lime.

Don't skip the muddling step. It's the difference between a drink that's okay and a drink that's great. Muddling is using friction to bruise the mint and lime.

It doesn't matter where you are when you're drinking a mojito, you'll be on a tropical beach vacation whenever you have this classic cocktail. The sun will be shining on your face and sand between your toes. A beach vacation full of sun sounds like the perfect escape to me.
